CLIVE WARD-ABLE
Dr. Clive Ward-Able is a physician and a pharmacist who has worked in the pharmaceutical industry for over 30 years with 23 of those at the Executive level. He has worked in large and small pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in Canada, US, UK, Switzerland and South Africa in the departments of R&D, Medical Affairs, Marketing and Sales. His experience relates mostly to the Medical aspect of therapeutic drug commercialization and has been involved with the launch of over 16 products in multiple therapeutic areas.
He is the President of his consulting company, Clintell Inc, and has been acting as a consultant Medical Director for numerous start-up companies for the past 5 years.
He is currently a member of the Board of Directors for Clinical Trials Ontario.
MONICA GAUTAM
Dr. Monica Gautam is a licensed pharmacist with over 25 years of diverse experience, most recently as a senior leader at Amgen Canada in Medical and Scientific Affairs. Monica has extensive expertise in strategic planning and has been involved in the launch of over 20 innovative therapies with a focus on biologic and gene therapies in multiple therapeutic areas including Oncology and Rare Diseases. She is known for her creative problem-solving skills and team leadership.
Teaching and life-long learning are passions for Monica, and she is an Assistant Professor, Teaching Stream for the Doctor of Pharmacy program at the University of Toronto and is the Coordinator for Canada’s Industrial Pharmacy Residency Program. She also creates and leads various training workshops for pharmaceutical industry professionals.
Monica founded COMPASS Medical Affairs Consulting Inc. in 2017 with a focus to uncover and solve complex problems for organizations to build and develop highly valued Medical teams. Since this time, she has successfully worked on over 100 projects with more than 25 biopharmaceutical companies in North America. In 2019, she co-founded MAC with a focus on integrated strategies, talent development and operational excellence to pharmaceutical companies.
TAFFIK CHOUDHURY
Taffik is the Managing Director for TRAXION Canada, and co-founder of MAC. He is a registered pharmacist with broad experience within the healthcare system as well as the bio-pharmaceutical industry. This experience has allowed him to provide out-of-the-box solutions and innovative ideas for the brands that he has managed and for his clients.
Taffik founded TRAXION Canada in 2008, and for the last 14 years the company has been serving bio-pharmaceutical companies in North America, Europe, South America and Asia. With an emphasis on "understanding the science" TRAXION has provided strategic support and tactical execution for brands with "scientifically challenging" therapeutic areas, including oncology and rare diseases. TRAXION has worked with 50+ brands and 20+ companies since inception.
In 2019, he co-founded MAC, with the mission to provide creative and strategic enterprise solutions with a focus on three core pillars: 1) Integrated Strategies, 2) Talent Development and 3) Operational Excellence.
His passion for education leads him to teach wherever he can, from a
basketball court to patient education forums.
